Released 2011, the Trevor James SR alto takes many of the design cues from the TJ Signature Custom saxophones and makes them more accessible. Many of the mechanisms and crook features such as the strengthened crook receiver have been included. This means advancing students can now access an instrument which is very free blowing and has wonderfully rich tonal characteristics.
Quality construction
This horn has been created with the highest spec professional instruments in mind. This saxophone features dished table keys, blue needle springs, and metal pad reflectors. Combined, these all give this instrument a smooth and fast action as well as a dynamic and full-bodied tone. The larger body bore will give you outstanding projection, ensuring you will be heard in all performance contexts.
The additional adjusting screws allow you to make precise adjustments to your instrument, allowing you to really take control of your sound and make it your own. Each of these saxophones is set up in Trevor James' workshop in Kent and comes with a high-quality impact case, neck strap, mouthpiece, cap, ligature and a reed.
