The sound of the toms are enhanced by the inclusion of Genista style lugs and 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops. Both features work in unison to increase the shell's sustain.
Offering an ideal amount of resonance and projection, the thick 7.2mm, 9-ply construction is the perfect choice for the Genista bass drum. It proves complementary to the brightness and attack emitted from the 5.6mm, 7-ply tom shells when struck. The bass drum's series-exclusive 10-lug design guarantees total control over its pitch when tuned.
By placing the toms on mounting clamps instead of the bass drum, they can be easily attached to a cymbal stand (not included). This design minimises the risk of undesirable resonance for a clear focussed sound. Influenced by the Genista's iconic lugs, the series’ toms have been modified to accommodate the 3mm undersizing. The Genista's purple fade sparkle gloss lacquered finish and internally lacquered shells evokes a touch of class whilst also offering greater resistance to superficial damage.
