The Precision 18’’ Thin Crash is crafted from Paiste's own Signature Alloy, and has been designed to achieve the recreation of a traditional Paiste, and sticks to the company's goal to make the Precision series 'a more affordable Signature sound.' The result from the 18'' crash is a tone reminiscent of classic Paiste, projecting clarity, but with a deeply warm resonance to carry the sound. It makes a typically medium volume, and so is more suited to adding depth to the drum kit, rather than strictly being right at the front of it. The 18’’ surface makes for a slightly louder, more projecting sound in comparison to the 16’’. The thin crash produces a similar tone to the original Signature, but with a slightly more enhanced, articulate sound. The Paiste Signature Precision range is a classic throwback to the original Signature series in its appearance, and is a smart addition to your drum kit.
