Nomex is a Kevlar-like polymer, produced in a honeycomb-like hexagonal structure, which adds additional resonance and reduces weight. This creates a significantly improved tone compared to a single-top guitar. The result is an instrument with superior resonance and responsiveness.
The increased strength also means that the guitar's bracing is no longer essential to structural integrity – instead, it's used in specific positions in order to enhance the tone and timbre of your guitar. Authentic and organic tone. The Hartwood Double Top Classic features a bone bridge saddle and nut. By utilising these traditional components where the strings contact the instrument, it ensures the best of a traditional tone exemplified by innovative tonewoods. Additionally, the guitar's feel hasn't been neglected either. The Ovangkol neck has been finished with a very fine open-pore lacquer.
