The Natural Satin Oil finish brings out the grain of the Maple creating a beautiful natural textured look to suit the tonality of the drum.
The clever construction adds to the remarkable sound. With an 11 ply ½ inch shell and a 6 ply reinforcement hoop on the inside of the shell, this produces a full-bodied snare tone, ideal for any type of playing. The shells are then finished off with a 60 degree baring edge for increased resonance and attack in addition to the lacquered interior allowing for brighter tonality.
As with all the True Sonic ® range the drum is fitted with DWs special bridge system. This impressive system gives the snare more contact with the bottom head enabling a larger range of dynamics, this helps the player produce a wider scope of sensitivity in their playing. DW have also included fine-tune wire tension adjustment to the bridge giving drummers more option than ever to fine tune the sound of the snare and find that perfect tone. So whether minimalistic ambient snare sounds are required or a more raucous punchy sound, this snare has the versatility to deliver.
