The DW Performance Series LowPro Kit consists of four handcrafted, North American maple shells in a classy white marine finish. The snare can easily be converted into a tom drum, offering you the flexibility of using your own snare or playing an all-tom style setup. The shallow shells are single-headed so you can really hear the punch from the batter head, which produces a tone and resonance similar to that of a concert tom. For the snare to work, the wire is simply attached to the underside of the batter head, and can be easily removed to convert it to a tom drum.
The stabilising leg and purpose-built stand reinforce the stability of the DW LowPro kit, ensuring it remains stable and secure throughout long playing sessions. The north American maple shells are baked in pressure moulds and cool tempered to crystallize the glue for ultimate strength and durability, as well as refining the resonance and roundness for a superior tone. FinishPly wraps are sealed tight to the shells with heated glue, becoming a ply in their own right, and enhancing the unique tone of the drums rather than diminishing the sound quality.
