Push your sound further. HK Audio's unique Linear 5 Long-Throw Satellites are designed to throw a complete sonic image all the way to the back of the venue. Up until now, only line arrays could provide the power and dominance required to achieve such effective sonic detail over long distances. Linear 5 LTS loudspeakers are the first speakers to deliver true long-throw performance in a compact format.


Multicell Transformer technology

Packed with groundbreaking technology, the L5 LTS and L5 LTSA can deliver sound pressure levels of up to 138dB - that's a hefty amount of volume. This is all thanks to HK's MCT technology. Providing significantly reduced HF distortion, the MCT technology within the LTS loudspeakers is a dramatic improvement over traditional horn and waveguide designs. You can make the most of the reduced distortion to achieve much higher sound pressure levels, allowing your sound to travel over greater distances.


The Multicell Transformer works by taking advantage of the physical benefits of horns and waveguides. It combines nine unique horn channels of differing overall lengths and varying mouth sizes to create a compact line array within a single device. Sound travels down each of the channels to achieve a variety of delay times, creating the perfect vertical curve with an ultra-precise throw pattern. Thanks to the small size of the MCT, no interference is caused that is often the problem with traditional long-throw horn designs.


Ultra-compact footprint

With the use of MCT technology, HK Audio have managed to create a long-throw speaker with an incredibly small and streamlined mid/high unit with huge performance capabilities. The reduced size prevents issues that traditional long-throw units are plagued with, such as large resonant surfaces, physical interference and distortion. Combined with an exceptionally lightweight design, the Linear 5 Long-Throw Satellites are both portable and easy to install. They take up minimal space in your vehicle, and can be easily set up in a variety of configurations including horizontal clusters, head stacks, and even head stacking clusters.
