The Dreadbox Lethargy is an OTA phase shifter. An OTA style phase shifter (operational-transconductance-amplifier) is known for creating a very 'clean' and pristine effect, free from internal clipping. This allows maximum headroom for your signal, so even under heavy modulation, your signal quality won't be affected. The Lethargy boasts a fully analogue 8-stage phase shifter with a choice of manual or LFO control or a blend of both. The LFO option offers a choice of Square and Triangle waves and has a very wide range from several seconds all the way into the audio range at 110Hz. Ideal for creating subtle pitch warbling and low-end movement.
Due to the wide taper of each control, you aren't just limited to conventional phaser sounds. With the Dreadbox Lethargy, you can of course get your typical heavy, slow marauding phase-shifting but you can also create subtle pitch vibrato, rhythmic phasing or heavy FM modulation sounds. The Lethargy pedal is a great way to add depth and movement to your instrument to create a sense of space and vibe.
The Lethargy guitar effect pedal is also ideal for modular synths enthusiasts thanks to its three patch points which allow you to control both the manual and rate settings. the LFO Out lets you use the rate of the pedal to control your Eurorack modular synth. Its multitude of applications will make it an integral part of your setup for years to come, as the possibilities are truly endless.
